What software is used? Good question!
All reseller and semi dedicated servers have Redhat Linux installed, PHP, ImageMagick, Perl, WebHostManager (WHM) or Dedicated Server Manager (DSM), Cpanel, Fantastico, MySQL and shared SSL certificates as standard.

Server Hardware
Each reseller plan is housed on top quality server hardware. At both The Planet and Webreseller data center we use server hardware to ensure your web sites run smoothly and efficiently every time.
Currently we use IBM eserver xSeries 305 servers and SuperMicro custom built servers.
Each server has 512Mb RAM, with dual hard drives, and either an Intel Pentium III or IV processor.
