Acceptable Usage Policy
This Acceptable
Use Policy specifies the actions prohibited by Metro-webhosting. Metro-webhosting
reserves the right to modify the Policy at any time,
effective upon posting of the modified Policy to this URL:

Use of Metro-webhosting services is conditional upon acceptance of our Acceptable Use Policy
(AUP)
Violations:
Violations of system or network security are prohibited, and
may result in criminal and civil liability. Metro-webhosting will investigate incidents
involving such violations and may involve and will cooperate
with law enforcement if a criminal violation is suspected.
Examples
of system or network security violations include, without limitation,
the following:
1.
Unauthorized access to or use of data, systems or networks,
including any attempt to probe, scan or test the vulnerability
of a system or network or to breach security or authentication
measures without express authorization of the owner of the system
or network.
2.
Unauthorized monitoring of data or traffic on any network or
system without express authorization of the owner of the system
or network.
3.
Interference with service to any user, host or network including,
without limitation, mail bombing, flooding, deliberate attempts
to overload a system and broadcast attacks.
4.
Forging of any TCP-IP packet header or any part of the header
information in an email or a newsgroup posting.
5.
Use of the Reseller Space service to transmit any material (by e-mail, uploading, posting
or otherwise) that threatens or encourages bodily harm or destruction
of property.
6.
Unsolicited commercial e-mail / Unsolicited bulk e-mail (SPAM)
Use of the Reseller Space service to transmit any unsolicited commercial or unsolicited
bulk e-mail is expressly prohibited. Violations of this type
will result in the immediate termination of your account.
Payment
Payments are due on your corresponding billing date. Your billing
date is the day the order was placed and processed. Please review
our Terms of Service for additional
information.
Any accounts cancelled/terminated by Metro-webhosting for violation of our Acceptable Usage Policy do not qualify for
the 30-day money back guarantee. Only first-time accounts are elegible for a refund. If you have had an account with
us before, cancelled it then signed up again, you will not be elegible for a refund.
This protects our refund guarantee from abuse. To receive a full refund, contact our customer service departement.
Failure to pay the monthly fee will result in your site being suspended. We will endevour to contact you through the officially supplied
contact details. If after a reasonable amount of time has passed (as determined by Metro-webhosting), we reserve the right to contact your
client(s) directly to inform them of your suspension, and arrange with them to find alternative hosting at Metro-webhosting's discretion.
Security Violations
You are responsible for any misuse of your account, even if
the inappropriate activity was committed by a friend, family
member, guest or employee.
IP Allocation
ARIN (the
American Registry for Internet Numbers) has become very stringent
with IP addresses, and will not grant them without a strict
accounting of use of existing IP's.
Any IP numbers which remain unused after a 30-day period, according
to our periodic 'ping' testing, will be subject to reassignment.
No prior notice will be given, but we will email you at your
current contact address to inform you that we have taken back
the IP numbers. You can of course request more when you are
ready to use them.
Our allocation of IP addresses is limited
by ARIN's policies. These policies state that use of
IP addresses for IP based virtual hosts will not be accepted
as justification for new IP addresses. What this means to you
is that you MUST use name-based hosting where possible. We will
periodically review IP address usage, and if we find that clients
are using IP addresses where name-based hosting could be used,
we will revoke authorization to use those IP addresses that
could be used with name-based hosting.
INDIRECT
OR ATTEMPTED VIOLATIONS OF THE POLICY, AND ACTUAL OR ATTEMPTED
VIOLATIONS BY A THIRD PARTY ON BEHALF OF A Metro-webhosting
CUSTOMER OR A CUSTOMER'S END USER, SHALL BE CONSIDERED
VIOLATIONS OF THE POLICY BY SUCH CUSTOMER OR END USER.
